عهد و پیمان فلک را نیست چندان اعتبار، عهد با پیمانه بندم شرط با ساغر کنم

Ahd o peymân-e falak râ nist chandân e'tebâr, ahd bâ peymâne bandam shart bâ sâghar konam

The sky's promises deserve little trust — I make my pact with the wine-cup, my agreement with the goblet.
